Drywall New Sector Brochure

Header sector brochure

Following on the success of their Middle East WHITE BOOK, technical experts at Gyproc Middle East are now compiling three sector–specific guides designed to make it even easier for architects and contractors to specify the most appropriate drywall systems for individual projects.

The guides look in detail at the three key growth areas in Middle East construction, schools, hospitals and hotels, and explain in detail the primary performance drivers for each sector.

Using simple to understand language, the guides unravel the often complex technical issues surrounding subjects such as fire safety, acoustic performance, indoor climate and sustainability, and go on to explain the standards required and how the unique properties of Gyproc’s modern lightweight wall, partition, lining and ceiling systems enable these standards to be achieved simply and cost effectively.

They also deal with key issues such as the importance of internal linings in moisture control and long term protection of the structure, as well the importance of cost control and the benefits of drywall systems in reducing foundation costs, maximising the available space and cutting overall project duration.

Using stylised graphics, the three guides then pick out the performance requirements for different functional areas of the relevant building type and suggest how these can be achieved using compatible Gyproc systems in a range of different thicknesses, configurations and lining specifications.

Jason Hird, Senior Technical Development Manager for Gyproc, who has been closely involved in developing the content of the new guides, said “Whilst most specifiers understand the need to achieve high standards of acoustic privacy and fire safety in modern buildings, those standards can vary depending on the type of building involved.

“These new guides will be invaluable in explaining the specific requirements for each building type and, when used in conjunction with our Middle East WHITE BOOK, will provide an invaluable reference source for anyone involved in specifying and building schools, hospitals or hotels in the region.”

The new guides will be available to view shortly on the company’s website at http://www.gyproc.ae/literature. Anyone wishing to reserve a hard copy should contact Gyproc on 800 GYPROC (497762), quoting either Healthcare Brochure, Hospitality Brochure or Education Brochure.
