Dubai design students get Gyproc message

Dorian Bomble, our specification manager gave students and their teachers at Dubai’s Manipal University training on drywall techniques as part of their campaign to win a prestigious international student design competition.

The training focused on the benefits of drywall over blockwork and how the systems are used to meet demanding sustainability and Green Building standards. It also focused on recent innovations including Habito, SoundBloc and Glasroc X, as part of a campaign to support the students' entry in Saint-Gobain’s International Multi-Comfort Student Challenge, which this month saw their entry “Coterie’ chosen to go forward to the finals in Milan later this year. Further training on acoustic ceilings is currently being planned.
