Gyproc talks sustainability at World Steel

Gyproc helped to drive home the importance of sustainable construction when it addressed delegates at the region’s first ever ConstructSteel conference on 18th June.

Organised by the World Steel Association, the 3rd annual conference, held this year in Dubai for the first time, brought together leading names in steel construction from across the globe to discuss the future of the industry in the 2030s.

 

As a Gold Sponsor, Gyproc’s Deputy Vice President and Director of Innovation, Gilles Leva, and UAE CEO, Paul Button, took the opportunity as Keynote speakers to address the conference, using the theme of Environment Friendly Construction Technology to push the importance of sustainability in construction. 

They then welcomed VIP guests to Gyproc’s stand, where they introduced them to the group’s new lightweight façade solution, Sage Glass Harmony model and other innovative solutions being used to achieve very high levels of thermal and acoustic performance, light and air quality in Saint-Gobain’s Multi-Comfort House, currently under construction in Masdar City, the focus for sustainable development in the UAE.
