Gyproc says thanks

‘Thanks for your support during 2016, now let’s work together to make the coming year an even greater success!’ – that was the message that Gyproc delivered to over 170 top customer contacts at a special gala dinner at the Anantara Hotel, Palm Jumeirah, on 22nd February.

Under the banner ‘Stronger Together’, Gyproc Managing Director, Paul Button, welcomed guests to the event, explaining that, whilst 2016 had been a challenging year for Middle East construction in general, a combination of careful management and very strong customer partnerships, had seen Gyproc’s business grow significantly, particularly in the key Health, Education and Leisure sectors.

After an initial mix and meet opportunity, it was down to business, with displays and demonstrations of innovative new products that will help to form the backbone of Gyproc’s business growth during 2017, including Habito board, a revolutionary high strength plasterboard that challenges blockwork in areas such as fixing strength and impact resistance.

Guests then moved to the hotel Ballroom for a company presentation, prior to dinner and an evening of entertainment, which included dance shows and belly dancing.

This was the biggest single customer event that Gyproc had staged since building its state-of-the-art plasterboard plant in Abu Dhabi in April 2010, and proved to be a hit with both customers and Gyproc’s own staff, who dressed in their finery to mingle with guests.

“It was great to get so many of our top customers together and personally thank them for their ongoing support, which was absolutely key to our success during 2016.” said Paul Button.

“‘Stronger together’ is an important element of our strategy for building successful partnerships that deliver real growth for both parties in 2017 and beyond”, he said “and with every level of our key distributor and contractor partners represented, we were able to get this message across to a wide audience in a relaxed environment, that everyone found enjoyable and entertaining.”
