GYPROC HABITO IS 'GREEN PRODUCT OF THE YEAR' AT THE 2019 MENA GREEN BUILDING AWARDS BY EMIRATESGBC
Reinforcing our commitment to sustainability, which is at the very heart of our strategy, Gyproc Habito Activ'Air - our revolutionary next generation plasterboard with extra-ordinary strength and fixing capability has won the 'Green Product of the Year' award in the 'Conventional Construction Materials' category at the 2019 MENA Green Building awards.
Held by the Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC), an independent forum aimed at conserving the environment by strengthening and promoting green building practices, the annual awards recognise sustainability champions in the Middle East and North Africa region. They were presented at a ceremony held at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina on 17th October 2019.
Officially endorsed by the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), the 2019 MENA Green Building Awards was organised by EmiratesGBC in partnership with the Jordan Green Building Council, Lebanon Green Building Council, Palestine Green Building Council, Egypt Green Building Council, Kuwait Green Building Council and Morocco Green Building Council and audited by KPMG.
About Emirates Green Building Council
The Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) was founded in June 2006, and became the 8th full member of the World Green Building Council in September 2006. EmiratesGBC is an organisation that promotes and educates on green issues in the built environment and is the official body for the UAE endorsed by the World Green Building Council. EmiratesGBC currently has around 150 members in the UAE which represents 1000s of individuals interested and involved in Green Building in the UAE and the region.
