Our winners of the 13th International Gypsum Trophy
This year, Gyproc won two trophies thanks to two local projects! With 22 participating countries, competitors vied in six categories (Plaster, Plasterboard, Residential, Non-Residential, Innovation & Sustainability, and Ceilings).
Gyproc won its first trophy in the Ceilings category with the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi project and also took home the Grand Prize of the evening with the UAE Pavilion (Pearl Dome) - Expo 2020 project.

Project description
SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will bring the region’s first Marine Life Theme Park to Yas Island. Opening its doors in 2023, the Park will feature multiple different realms offering immersive experiences as well as dynamic habitats that will house different species together, as they are in their natural habitat.
The Marine Life Theme Park will be home to more than 150 species of marine animals including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays, sea turtles, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates in addition to hundreds of birds including penguins, puffins, murres, flamingos and more.
To be located next to the Marine Life Theme Park, SeaWorld Research and Rescue Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s first dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center will open this year. It will support regional and global conservation efforts, providing an advanced knowledge hub with a focus on indigenous Arabian Gulf and marine life ecosystems.
The SeaWorld Abu Dhabi experience will tell a unified “One Ocean” story, based on the interconnectivity between all life on earth and our one ocean.

Project description
Designed by world-renowned architect, Dr. Santiago Calatrava, the architectural design of the UAE Pavilion draws inspiration from the vision of the falcon – the national bird of the UAE. The UAE Pavilion reflects the UAE’s identity and pioneering spirit while cultivating a balance and connection between the country’s past, present and future.
First of a kind project done in the entire Middle East with high level of complex spherical curvature.

GYPROC MF CEILING
Gyproc MF is a suspended ceiling system suitable for most internal drylining applications. The fully concealed grid can be used in conjunction with Gyproc plasterboards, Rigitone or Gyptone boards to create a seamless, monolithic appearance.
GYPROC MF CURVE
Gyproc MF CURVE is a lightweight, non-loadbearing, suspended ceiling system for constructing curved ceilings and soffit linings. The linings are simple to install and provide non fire-rated solutions for all types of buildings.
Gyproc MF fire performance ceiling
Gyproc MF fire performance ceiling is a suspended ceiling system with a fully concealed grid that can be used in conjunction with Gyproc plasterboards to create a seamless, monolithic appearance where fire performance is required.
GYPWALL QUIET
GypWall QUIET is a lightweight, non-loadbearing, twin framed acoustic separating wall, primarily used as a sound resisting wall in a residential units such as apartments.The system can also be specified in commercial and industrial buildings to meet a specific level of sound insulation performance.
ISOVER® ECO APR
ISOVER® Eco Acoustic Partition Roll is a new glass insulation for internal partitions, linings and ceiling systems. It is Eco designed providing a strong, resilient and flexible insulating mat, which is easy to cut, handle and install and will slump under its own weight when suspended vertically.

GypLyner UNIVERSAL CEILING is a general purpose ceiling lining system suitable for most internal applications.

Gyproc Habito® board is a next generation plasterboard which consists of a specially reinforced gypsum core designed for high strength and fixing capability.
