Saint‑Gobain announces the validation of Glasroc® X performance following a comprehensive assessment program, combining accelerated ageing tests monitored by CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment) with real‑life exposure tests conducted across multiple locations worldwide.
We’ve reorganised and strengthened our sales and marketing with a new market-oriented structure focused more on the needs of our customers. Starting 1st January, a new team, headed by Sales and Marketing Director, Jeet Khanna, who is reporting directly to Paul Button, now Saint-Gobain CEO for the United Arab Emirates. Karim Amrouche has taken on a new challenge as Sales and Marketing Manager for Saint-Gobain ceilings in the Middle East.
Our events team’s busiest-ever year started in February with a ‘night to remember’ for 170 customers at the Palm’s Anantara Hotel – recognition for their ongoing support. Then there was the first-ever Gyproc Middle East Trophy, culminating in our big presentation evening in September, sponsorship and support around Worldskills in October and, to round off the year, a special 1st Anniversary presentation to Filipino architects in Oman - to name but a few!

The stand-out campaign for 2017 was undoubtedly the launch of new Gyproc Habito – our new high strength, easy-fix plasterboard. With our special climbing wall and floating chair displays, it made big news everywhere we went. But behind the scenes, we were also busy launching our new lighter, moisture-resistant MR H2 board specially engineered for EN standard projects – and publishing the new datasheet for our high performance Gypframe metal range.
The Gyproc® stand at THE BIG 5 2018 heralded a new era for plasterboard linings with three major displays showing how ground-breaking new lining technology is already changing the way that buildings are planned and constructed throughout the Middle East.
